As part of the employers' responsibility to their employees, this course is a must for all people who assist some one with movement. Ideal for carers, social care, medical staff, primary care and more
As this is not a competency check, this awareness course is a 2 hour session completed in the live classroom setting
All the Learning Outcomes needed to show awareness are put into an a accredited certificate. Not available as regulated

What you will learn on this course

To comply with the Manual Handling Operations Regulations, Health and Safety Executive advice and the Care and Quality Commission, this course does not prove competency and features only the basic methods of handling.

This course will help you:

  1. Understand the relevant legislation and regulations that apply to manual handling in health and social care
  2. Understand and identify the potential injury and harm that can be caused by mishandling people and equipment
  3. Understand how the body works and moves during manual handling
  4. Safely demonstrate moving and positioning techniques according to current and up to date knowledge

We teach all of our training courses to a high specification. While sticking to the regulations and always imparting essential safety information, we also strive to push boundaries and explore new creative methods of teaching
