We are here to make your workplace safer. Our passion as a collective of like-minded trainers is to give the best possible training experience we can offer. We achieve this by delivering high quality, personalised training courses to fit your workplace.

By researching existing solutions, comparing it with law, providing a fresh approach and adding a splash of personality, we create a solution that has you and your team at the heart of it all.

No one should be the position where mandatory training is boring, unresponsive or does not fulfil your workplace needs. So let us build you something better for you.

Richard Penny

The operations guru behind Vital, Richard Penny has over 15 years experience developing and running training contracts. As well as working hard for Vital, Richard also manages to find time to run Barclay Penny Training as he loves nothing more than getting into the training room to train.

A proud Scotsman from the West Coast of Ayrshire, Richard is passionate about golf and Rugby, and although his rugby playing days are well and truly over he can often be seen on the golf course and heard at Murrayfield cheering on Scotland.

Daniel Smith

Dan Smith is the creative force at the forefront of Vital, with over 12 years of experience in the Emergency Sector. Dan has been in many practical Workplace scenarios both here, as well as in Compassion Medical, his own company in Event Support and Pre-Hospital care.

Born and bred in Essex, Dan spends his time between his passions of his faith, his wife and two children, emergency care and driving. When not involved in a community project or working, he can be seen in front of the BBQ or the swimming pool (but not at the same time)

Really impressed with my training with Vital. The course was engaging and informative, and I came away feeling like I had learnt so much. Richard is brilliant at not only teaching important first aid skills, but also building confidence so that I would feel able to put them into practice if needed.
