With the addition of sector specific learning outcomes, this course can tailored to you workplace. ranging from 4-6 hours as a live classroom course, it is best not done online
The accredited certificate that accompanies this training details clearly all the learning outcomes to prove competency

What you will learn on this course

This training course is designed to meet the criteria of responsibility asked by the Health and Safety Executive under Manual Handling Regulations (MHOR) 1992, as well as the Care Quality Commission principles of safe care. Please note: the training does not cover hoist competency

This course will fulfil the learning outcomes of:

  1. Understand the relevant legislation and regulations that apply to manual handling in health and social care
  2. Understand and identify the potential injury and harm that can be caused by mishandling people and equipment
  3. Understand how the body works and moves during manual handling
  4. Safely demonstrate moving and positioning techniques according to current and up to date knowledge
