What you will learn on this course
Our diet and nutrition can play a key part in staying healthy, with so many options for food and drink it can be a hard task maintaining a balance. More vulnerable people in the community and those in care require help to achieve this, so the Skills For Care team added this to the Care Certificate.
You will learn:
- Malnutrition, risks of bad diets and potential health problems
- Person-centred care and supporting people
- Calories, different types of energy and how the body uses them
- Bodyweight and how nutrition affects it
- Nutrition and hydration for the more vulnerable people
