To create a bespoke training schedule that would fit around a typical jobseekers time schedule and would meet the requirements of making them desirable to employers. To deliver this, we looked at the typical vocational sector the learners would go to. We offered a series of remote training sessions (due to the pandemic) around it and successfully got over 85% of the learners through to a qualification.
To empower the learner with the confidence to use their skills, each step is related to existing systems and case studies of real employers and employment processes. Where possible, the real-life experience of the trainers would link the subject matter to the workplaces that are working today.
The desired result of this approach is that when a learner is ready to seek employment, they will appear attractive to employers with the extra courses relevant to their sector. More importantly, the learner will have the confidence to enter the workplace and stay in a position of employment for a more long term answer to the question of unemployment.
