For businesses and organisations who have high risk activities on their risk assessment such as education, transport, hospitality and sports and are looking to re-certify in the full qualification
12 hours of first aid spread over a minimum of 2 days; this training course can only be delivered in the live classroom setting. Must have in date FAW certificate to comply
Fully compliant and accredited, the full FAW certificate will be issued upon completion. As with all first aid, this training course can be delivered as regulated

What you will learn on this course

The Learning Outcomes required by Health and Safety at Work etc Act. 1974, the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the latest Resuscitation Council UK 2015 guidelines are in this first aid at work training course. Additional content can be added for sector-specific training.

The outline of this course is:

  1. Understand and treat conditions such as cardiac arrest, unconscious person, choking person
  2. Deal with severe bleeding and shock
  3. Recognise broken bones, burns and seizures
  4. Fix minor injuries like cuts, bruises, nosebleeds, splinters and more
  5. Study the vital observations of the unwell person
  6. Practice different scenarios in emergencies

Workplace first aid need certification needs to be re-certified every three years. This is so you can prove that you have members of staff on-site who are sufficiently trained to provide first aid training in case of emergencies.
