Examples of our work
Our certification process enables us to update and tailor course content to address the evolving requirements of the workplace. Clients often request customized training solutions to fit their unique needs, resulting in bespoke courses that are unavailable elsewhere.

Dr Sharon McDonald from the Mid & South Essex Foundation Trust Hospital (MSEFT) and Essex University Partnership Trust (EPUT) stated, “We required a comprehensive training package that accurately reflected the responsibilities of health care assistants. Vital Workplace Training leveraged their direct experience within the NHS to create an induction programme that met our specific needs.”
It was observed that generic training frequently left health care assistants inadequately prepared for the practical realities of their roles. This lack of preparation contributed to a high turnover rate among newly qualified health care assistants.
The programme was designed to address the diverse environments in which health care assistants operate across the NHS. The curriculum emphasised developing skills applicable to a variety of settings, including community support, pre-hospital and in-hospital care, and mental health support. Adaptability was identified as a fundamental requirement.
To satisfy the statutory requirements of the NHS care certificate, modules included safeguarding, basic life support, infection control, health and safety, mental health, learning disability and dementia awareness, fluids and nutrition, privacy and dignity, communication, personal development, duty of care, equality and diversity, and information handling.
With the completion of training for the third cohort of health care assistants over the past six weeks, we are pleased to observe that participants have achieved their qualifications confidently and are well-prepared to contribute effectively within the National Health Service.

The team at Parkour UK approached us to create a First Aid course which aims directly at the most likely injuries and illnesses frequently seen in the sport.
We worked alongside Parkour UK to gather information about the sport, using their experience in the industry to highlight the potential risks that First Aid may need to help with.
From this, we developed a unique course called Emergency First Aid for Parkour, a 2 day training course that centralised around the injuries and illnesses in Parkour, such as musculoskeletal injuries, head injuries and strains.
The course was designed to comply with the newly published Resuscitation Council UK 2025 guidelines and give gym leaders and sport enthusiasts vital skills and knowledge to deal with emergencies that could occur during the sport.
As part of the request, we also filmed a series of videos of live demonstrations in First Aid techniques, that would be used on the Parkour UK website to serve as an introduction to First Aid within the sport.
We filmed the video series with the team at the Parkour gym Spiral Freerun in Bedford, who also were our first Learners to experience the bespoke training.

We were approached by Caerphilly Council to construct a collection of course series to train up people who are seeking work within specific Job Sectors in the surrounding areas.
The request was to build a course series that offered all of the necessary training a person would require to immediately enter a job once secured, making the candidate more attractive to Employers.
Examples of the Job Sectors were Call Centre Operative, Retail Worker and Event Steward, which were the jobs with the most vacancies at the time of the request.
From this, we constructed a bespoke course series with existing training courses, such as Customer Service, GDPR, Health and Safety and First Aid, while adding brand new and bespoke elements geared towards the Job market.
The result of this was a cohort of Learners that entered into the Employment sector with a significant advantage, some of the Learners went on to gain employment within a few weeks of the course completion, on the strength of the qualifications.

We were asked by Paddington Development Trust to deliver a Project of course series to train up people who are part of PDT’s community upskilling initiative, aimed at NEET or Economically inactive individuals.
The request was to create a flexible course series in Mandatory Workplace courses that would allow people with Social Disadvantages to join the sessions, something previously not open to them.
The challenge was to cater for Learners that had significant additional responsibilities in their home life, such as full time parents and unpaid home carers.
We looked at the courses requested, such as Food Safety, Health and Safety, Manual Handling and Paediatric First Aid, created a session block that fit around time constraints like school runs and caring needs.
Additional adjustments we made were to make theory based sections of Qualifications available in Remote classrooms, spread sessions over multiple days and support Learners out of hours.
The result of this was that people who were prevented access to live and in person training were able to upskill in practical Workplace skills that would allow them to enter the Employment Sector, many of whom successfully gained employment.
